My Picks for NCAA 9/13

I know it’s only Thursday but I got 6 games I’m very confident in for Saturday.  It’s week 3 and we know a little more about the college football teams.

USC (-11.5) vs. Ohio St.-  Let’s face it for a spread that I saw Monday at -8 to increase up to -11.5 and still rising, I think we know who people like in this one. USC was by far the best looking team at Virginia week 1. USC has the a couple MLB banged up but the 2nd  & 3rd  string guys could easily start over anyone at Ohio U. Beanie Wells is doubtful for this game, so you’re looking about the same team from last week. For you that want to make the argument that Terrelle Pryor is going to be able to do the things that other mobile QB have done to the Trojans in past. Think again Pryor is no Dennis Dixon or Vince Young ( YET). This game is going to be dominated by USC. Look for a 20+ pt win. 42-17 USC.

Georgia (-7) @ South Carolina- The Old Ball Coach is going to have a rough time Saturday with the #2 Bulldogs. He hasn’t decided which quarterback is going to start and how much either is going to play. No matter if Smelley or Beecher is in there, it’s not going to matter much. Especially with their top option McKinley most likely out. Georgia has too many ways to get it done and I don’t see how the Gamecocks are going to be able to keep up.  South Carolina score less than 10 & Georgia scores at least 21 probably a lot more. 42-9 Georgia.

Clemson (-18.5) vs. NC State- The wolf pack has to be one of the most banged up team in college football.  NC St. is already giving up 29 points a game and that includes a game against William & Mary.  Most importantly though Clemson has got to a lot to prove after the surprising week 1 lost to Alabama. For a team that was hyped up so much in the preseason with Thunder & Lighting, look for Clemson to put the pedal to the floor the rest of year. Clemson 49-10.

Buffalo (-6.5) vs. Temple- So far in the first two weeks these two teams have had two of the top first half defenses. Buffalo hasn’t allowed a team to score in the first quarter and Temple hasn’t given a score in the first half. Temple’s competition hasn’t been as tough as Buffalo though. Yeah they played UCONN tough but with the weather condition in that game made it hard for any team to score. Turner Gill has got Buffalo playing good football and gave Pittsburgh quite a battle last week. Temple has gotten better since last year but Buffalo still beat them 42-7 in Philadelphia last year. Look for a closer game than last year but Buffalo still wins by 2 scores. 38-17 Buffalo.

Utah (-24) @ Utah St. - Utah has already beat Michigan in the big house, a trip 80 miles north should be no problem for the Utes. Utah St. Isn’t good one but we have a common opponent in this game that favors the Utes. Week one the Aggies went to UNLV and were defeated 17-27. Last week the Utes hosted UNLV and won 42-21. Utah St. might get a FG or two but this will be a large victory for Utah.     45-3 Utah

Arizona St. (-23) vs. UNLV- Rudy Carpenter will have no problem throwing the ball and look for Dimitri Nance and Keegan Herring have no problem running the ball in this game. UNLV will move the ball a little but Arizona St. defense has been solid so far this year. ASU wins big. 49-14 Arizona St.
